Trance Coming To Phillippines

MANILA, Philippines — Bigfish and Freedom Music kick off the New Year with a ground-shaking, eardrum-shattering bang! On Jan. 21, 2012 at the World Trade Center, they stage their first massive dance music festival of the year, Trance Energy 2012 featuring worldwide sensation Dash Berlin, top-notch tandem Super 8 & Tab, and for the first time local Dj Christian Raeuber.
Jeffrey Sutorius, better known as Dash Berlin, is a Netherlands-born DJ who first sent trance lovers into a frenzy in 2007 with his mesmerizing debut “Till the Sky Falls Down”. He has since scored a number of accolades, among them an International Dance Music Award for Best High Energy Track for his single “Waiting”. Last year, he climbed from No. 15 to a solid No. 8 in DJ Mag’s Top 100, putting him in the big league with the industry’s most in-demand superstars
Another global trance act you shouldn’t miss is Miika Eloranta and Janne Mansnerus, who go by the stage name Super8 & Tab. Since 2005, the Finnish duo has been weaving stirring sonic excursions, making fans out of trance heavyweights Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten, as well as dance music authorities Mixmag and DJ Mag.
Be sure to catch The Flying Dutchman Dash Berlin as he sweeps into Manila for the first time. This marks the second Philippine visit for Super8 & Tab, whose first Bigfish gig in 2008 drew throngs of local clubbers.

Deadmau5 Dealing With Depression Ultra Music Fest Questionable?

Line-up that comes front-loaded with top-dollar acts like Tiesto, New Order, Kraftwerk, David Guetta and Armin van Buuren, it’s fair to say 2012 will be the biggest year yet for Miami’s Ultra Music Festival. Despite the gargantuan, no-expenses-spared bill, one dance music superstar who’s missing is Deadmau5. Not that he’s losing sleep about it.
In a Christmas stream with fans from what looks like his plush underground lair, the producer admitted he’s no great fan of how the colossal festival does things. His main gripes, it seems, are Ultra’s exclusivity contracts that prevent its acts from playing other gigs during Miami Music Week, the high ticket prices and, well, festivals in general.
“Ultra to me is like the definition of insanity,” he says. “It’s doing the same fucking thing every year, expecting different results every time. Why would you go every year? 595 fucking dollars for a ticket? Wow, someone’s laughing to the bank. I love Miami, but I hate these fucking festival things. I would rather spend 50 or 100 dollars to see my favourite act rather than doshing out 600 bucks to see all these fucking people, most of which are playing at the same fucking time.”
The next ten-or-so minutes touch on the “fucked up” exclusivity contracts, the “shit that flies around” when you assemble a line-up of big egos, the tyranny of festival timetabling, disingenuous “children” turned promoters, why Daft Punk won’t do festivals…and so on and so forth. Basically, it’s textbook Deadmau5, with plenty of sagely observations in amongst the F-bombs.international news posted

On New Year’s Eve, however, Deadmau5 took to Facebook with a different tack, admitting 2011 has been a difficult year. “Anyway, just gunna wrap up these shows this year n try to have a little fun,” he wrote. “I’ve been dealing with severe depression and anxiety all year. Taking a long time off after my birthday to hopefully get it sorted out before I say or do anything more stupid than I already have.”

Afrojack And Paris Hilton Getting Serious?

Supposedly just good friends. But it looks like things may have heated up between heiress Paris Hilton and Dutch music producer DJ Afrojack.
The 30-year-old star partied up a storm in Miami last night while Afrojack — real name Nick van de Wall — took to the decks at the W South Beach hotel.
According to a source, the pair were smooching and kissing throughout the evening and also shared a VIP penthouse suite.
Earlier in the night they dined at The Dutch restaurant inside W South Beach, along with Paris’s sibling Nicky and Baron Hilton and 24-year-old Afrojack’s management team. An onlooker said, “Hilton and Afrojack sat next to each other, holding hands and stealing kisses throughout dinner.” They then moved outside to WET, the poolside NYE bash that Afrojack headlined.
Paris held court at a VIP table, stocked with five bottles of champagne, four bottles of Grey Goose vodka and a bottle of tequila. An onlooker said, “Shortly before midnight, Paris went up on stage with Afrojack to lead the crowd in a New Year’s countdown. “They both kissed at midnight in front of the entire crowd.”
Paris had a busy night last night, tweeting today: ‘Had the best New Years Eve ever! @DJAfrojack at The W then @TheRealIngrosso at @LIVMiami then to after party at @IamDiddy’s house. So fun!:)’
Paris has been setting tongues wagging recently about her relationship with Afrojack. She was also with him earlier this week at Surrender Nightclub at Encore in the Wynn Resort, Las Vegas.by ANI
