Madonna, deadmau5 Twitter battle over drug on eve of release of ‘MDNA’

On the eve of the release of Madonna’s new album "MDNA," the Material Girl found herself in a Twitter feud with one of the hottest DJs in the business.
"It's a slap in the face, associating a potentially harmful substance to the work and passion we put in to make art," deadmau5 tweeted to Madonna — a shot at the pop legend for using the term "molly" at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami Saturday.
"Are you so f—ing uncreative after a 30-year career you have to resort to drug references?"
The term is often used as slang for the drug Ecstasy, and comes after Madonna had already been criticized for naming her new album after the chemical name (MDMA) for the same drug.
Madonna fired back by posting a picture of herself in mouse ears on her new Twitter feed with a word balloon that read, "From one mouse to another. I don't support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song called 'Have you seen Molly?' written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album."

Madonna responded to deadmau5 with a photo of her in mouse ears with a pointed message in a cartoon quote balloon.

"Regardless, just be a little more aware of what you *should* represent at EDM (electronic dance music) events, and I'll watch my mouth," the deejay responded.
The last word, not suprisingly, went to Madonna: "@deadmau5 Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up "privately." ;) See you on the road," she tweeted.by ethan sacks
